Equestrilibrium

Equestrilibrium explores the space between instinct and understanding through the relationship between horses, symbols, and the ways we create meaning. Each painting begins with a hexagram drawn by chance through the ancient practice of the I Ching, which becomes a starting point for an open-ended process of discovery rather than a fixed subject to illustrate. Through charcoal, white paint, the gesture of the horse, and the unexpected possibilities of making, each work explores how meaning emerges from what we sense, what we see, and what remains beyond words.
